Both Rosemount TankRadar Rex and Pro gauges are highly reliable overfill alarm devices. Unlike a conventional point level switch, the alarm level of a TankRadar gauge can easily be set at any level you choose. The gauge acting as a switch gives the operator continuous information about its status and performance, since it is being used in the everyday operations of the tank farm.
The configurations in the examples below vary depending on the safety requirements for the tank.

The SIL 2 rated Rex gauge, tested by TÜV for overfill protection, in combination with a Rosemount 2100 Vibrating Fork Liquid Level Switch provides redundancy for the high-level switch functionality.
TankRadar Rex with Hi-Hi alarm output and an overfill approved, independent continuous TankRadar Pro gauge with switch functionality. The SIL 2 rated Rex gauge in combination with a Pro gauge, both tested by TÜV for overfill protection, introduce redundancy for continuous level data measurements and the high-level switch functionality.
Two TankRadar Rex units with Hi-Hi alarm output. The combination with two TankRadar Rex units provides the highest safety level, with redundancy functionality. Tank Radar Rex is third-party assessed and considered to be SIL 2 suitable. It is also TÜV-tested for overfill protection.
