A gauge for high temperature with insulation to protect electronics
When carrying sulfur, bitumen or asphalt it is important to keep the correct temperature on the cargo. We have developed a gauge for high temperature with insulation to protect the electronics from extensive heat. Since all our antennas are placed entirely inside the tank atmosphere they will not be affected by condensation. The antenna will adopt the same temperature as the tank atmosphere and the design of the antenna is made to give a drip-off effect.

Our gauge has a parabolic antenna to obtain a narrow radar beam towards the cargo surface. The narrow beam of the parabolic antenna makes it possible to detect the reflection with a higher precision than with a small antenna that gives a wider beam and thus a weak reflection. Both sulfur and asphalt has a low dielectric giving a low reflection from the surface. A further advantage with the parabolic antenna is that it is not affected by deposits. Even under these circumstances the high reliablitity and accuracy are maintained.

Fewer cables on deck
In Rosemount TankRadar STaR it is possible to multiplex the temperature signals from the cargo temperature system and transfer the information to the heating system of the ship. It is not necessary to have extra cables from the gauge to the main cabinet of the Rosemount TankRadar STaR system, which means fewer cables on deck.

Cargo Control System
Rosemount TankRadar Cargo Control System, provides complete integration of monitoring and control functions, such as pump speed control, valve control and power pack control. It is also possible to implement monitoring of other equipment onboard. It gives the operator immediate response on any action taken, and all measured data are instantly displayed. The system can handle discharging and loading of many tanks at the same time.
